Divorce Court Original Cartoon by Franklin
If you've followed Joan's life for any length of time then you know about the fiasco of a divorce from "The Swede" a.k.a. Peter Holm. For those who don't know about it, let's just say it made Dynasty look like an episode of Sesame Street. In the end, Joan prevailed but not without a tremendous amount of turmoil in the process.
Anyway, this is an original sketch by Franklin depicting Peter Holm bulldozing his way into the Los Angeles County Courtroom. His attorney is quoted as saying "I object to my client being called a gold-digger, your honour!" What else could you call a man who wanted over $80,000 a month in alimony and claimed that he "made Joan's career"?
The sketch is nine inches by eleven inches, and has been matted and placed into an 11x14 black frame. It's the only one there is.
